Welcome Montana hunting enthusiasts! Bullseye Outfitting in Trout Creek, Montana offers a variety of Montana guided hunting opportunities, with archery or rifle, for Montana Black Bear and Montana Elk and Deer.

BULLSEYE OUTFITTING has three main leases on which you will be hunting with our outfitters:  The Lolo & Kootenai National Forests, State Forest, and Plum Creek Timber Company Land. Some of the best hunting in this area is on steep mountainous terrain. The hunter who takes time to get into good physical condition will increase his/her chances of success.

Spring Bear hunting is done in late April and early May. The bears are just coming out of hibernation and have beautiful coats of fur.

Bow hunting season in Montana coincides with the elk rut. We are very successful calling in large bull elk to our clients. This area is well known for producing large, heavy-horned, Montana bulls. The high bull-to-cow ratios make the competition among bulls very tense. This creates good calling for the archery hunter. The bulls are vocal and will respond to both cow calls and bugles. It is common to hear several bulls bugling in the same canyon.

The majority of our
Elk and Deer combo hunts are run out of our lodge. The season generally starts the last week of October and runs through the end of November. This allows us to run five hunts with different options to fit each hunter's desires. The first hunt we run out of our camp, followed by our lodge hunts through November. Hunter preference and weather dictate the style of hunt you would choose. Success on our elk hunts normally stays fairly even throughout the season, with weather being the biggest factor.

Hunting big
muley bucks here in the Lolo National Forest is one of the best kept secrets going these days. With low hunting pressure and big country, odds of getting a big heavy-horned buck are in your favor. Hunting the high country during the rut is an experience a hunter won't soon forget.

All the information you need for successful Spring Black Bear, Elk with rifle or archery, and Deer hunts can be found under the "information" and "our hunts" tabs above.

When hunting with us you will be staying in our lodge, unless other arrangements have been made prior to your arrival. Our Montana hunting lodge has all the comforts of home. You will be able to relax in the trophy room, while our cook prepares your meals. Clean bedding and towels are provided for each hunter to use. Some hunters will use our camps when hunting conditions and weather allow it. We have one base hunting camp set up with wall tents. There are both a cook tent and sleeping tents with wood stoves. Cots and foamies are provided. You will need to bring a good quality lightweight sleeping bag. Full equipment lists will be given to clients after they receive their hunting license.
